For Texans surveying the damage wrought by a runaway leftist regime, the only feasible explanation is insanity. For those of us living in an energy state, it makes no sense to shut down what amounted to our energy independence.
Looking back a year ago, there was an abundance of jobs in building and maintaining pipelines. Fracking was going full speed ahead in places like Carrizo Springs. Our refineries were processing oil at a rapid pace, and we were selling oil and gas abroad.
Now, thanks to Marxists who wish to bring our great state to its knees, Joe, with hat in hand, is beseeching Saudis and Russians to please spare us some oil. How pitiful! How demeaning! And now Putin has Europe on his hook, because of its dependence on Russian oil.
Sensing weakness, our adveraries now have their eyes focused on such places as the Ukraine and Taiwan. Furthermore, the botched Afghanistan retreat and the heinous betrayal of Afghans who supported America will forever taint the honor of the United States.
As you read these words, Russia is on the verge of invading the Ukraine, when in reality we could tamp down Russia without firing a shot! All we have to do is open the spigots and return to our former position of an energy powerhouse. Yes, we could be exporting gas and oil to Europe! And, in doing so, we could severely weaken Putin, whose agressive position is made possible by a position relying on an energy base constituting 50% of the Russian economy.
In the meantime, energy rich Texans are witnessing the rise of prices at the pump, while transportation costs fuel rising prices and empty shelves at HEB.
And, just where is Vicente de la Gente in dealing with this mess? He is supposedly on the House committee which deals with foreign affairs. He has the ability to speak out on economic affairs. But rather than to take a position to support Texas and Texans, we hear nary a peep! In all his campaign statements, he is woefully silent when it comes to the damaging blow he and his Democrat/ Marxist masters have dealt to our state. No, indeed. Vicente is not really for la gente, for he is simply a minor role player in an insidious plot to forever transform our Republic into a secondary power, which the elite ruling class intends to keep using to maintain their ill-gotten fortunes, gained from the likes of China and the CCP.
On the other hand, Mayra Flores is one of us. She will fight with all her might for her constituents. She knows that our interests do not coincide with those of Joe, Nancy, Kamala, Steny, Chuck, et.al. Vote Mayra! The survival of our state and our nation depends on your vote NOW in 2022! The polls are open. Do your duty!
