IF IT WALKS LIKE A DUCK.....
The old saying that if it "..walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is most likely a duck" holds true in the topsy turvy political world of the 21st century.
Years ago, we began to hear about "political correctness." Many wrote it off as being nothing more than adolescent balderdash. But here we are in 2022, and political correctness has become something of a religion among the left - and especially so among those who label themselves"progressives."
Progressives have many goals. Among them are growing government to all-powerful status, controlling thought through dominance of the media, sports, entertainment and education, and branding those who disagree with them as ignorant and ill-informed rubes. With the ongoing efforts of progressives, we now have come to the point where:
1. We have probably the most incompetent executive leadership in our history
2. China is on the verge of eclipsing us as a super power.
3. Our elementary and secondary schools are failing miserably in producing competency that will allow us to compete successfully on the world stage.
4. Outsoucing manufacturing has damaged our economy, and has resulted in the deterioration of large swaths of our country.
5. We no longer control our borders and those, because of this, who are illegally entering the United States.
6. A considerable portion of our population seems confused about sexuality.
7. The lack of enforcement of our laws has led to widespread violence and the degradation of police departments. Accordingly, public safety in many areas cannot be taken for granted.
8. We are fast becoming a debtor nation, in which generations to come will be forced into servitude when it comes time to reckon with our ever-growing national debt.
9. The spread of nuclear weapons continues among outlaw nations, and our foreign policy in dealing with this threat can best be called a mess.
10. At no other time in our history have we faced so much drug addiction, mental health crises, homelessness, suicides and a declining life expctancy for future generations.
A more effective scenario cannot be imagined to bring a great nation to its knees. Such scenarios have been experienced from the Soviet Union through eatern Europe, China, North Korea, Cuba and Venezuela. Unfortunately, we are under the heels of a political elite, which cares nothing of our homeland but places itself and personal profits above nation and patriotism.
Now, back to the duck. If a progressive talks the party line, refuses to engage in meaningful dialog and supports the 10 points enumerated above, then let's drop the euphemism. For all practical purposes, progressive = communist.
Will Vicente Gonzalez ever speak out on what vexes this nation? We think not. He is merely a small cog in a large wheel of lies, deceptions and wrong doing.
